Mark LundMark Lund
Project and Ship Repair Manager

Mark Lund brings 16 years of experience in the shipbuilding and ship repair industry to Intercon Marine. Mark provides first-class project management that has earned praise from Intercon’s many clients. He began his career as a welder, fabricator, rigger and equipment operator with Alfred Paulsen A/S (Stavanger Norway) where he worked for 3 years. In 1990, Mark landed a superintendent and project manager position at Nanaimo Shipyard where he had also worked as CWB welding supervisor, welder and fabricator.

Mark has worked on some major projects, including the docking refit of the Navy frigate HMCS Winnipeg, providing work estimates of $6 million and project management for a combined workforce of 250 workers. He also provided quality control and team scheduling.

Prior to the HMCS Winnipeg refit, he simultaneously managed a number of projects throughout Vancouver Island, from fabrication, assembly and launching of ocean catamaran fish farm systems to small and large ship repair projects. Today, Mark is a major part of ensuring the satisfaction of Intercon clients, and the smooth delivery of services — on time and on budget.
